Meeting Room Booking and Scheduling
AAOMS used based on MOSS 2007 (Microsoft Office Server 2007) a simple room booking solution, which was developed inhouse.
During the migration to Office 365 with SharePoint online, they needed a more sophisticated technology that will match the growing demand of the client with the digital workspace.
As part of the migration to Sharepoint Online, they needed a more contemporary way of managing rooms and booking meeting rooms.
That is why they decided to use the Room Manager for Office 365. The main areas of application for the customer are the booking of meeting rooms via the web form and the integration of the Outlook add-in. User acceptance is another important requirement that was fulfilled with the implementation of the Room Manager. The easy customization of lists, with custom fields, and custom workflows was another point, which let Room Manager become the match-winner.
During 2 sessions, each took about 45 minutes, we could successfully install and deploy the solution on the client’s Office 365 tenant.
The stakeholders of the client will now the Business Outcome, to further customize the solution. As Room Manager is built on Office 365 we have the rich feature set of the Microsoft Office 365 platform, like MS Flow/ PowerAutomation and PowerApps.
they are many solutions on the market for room booking solutions, but the Room Manager solution convinced the client after the conference call, that Room Manager was by far away from the simplest solution for extending the solution with their change requirements the client had.
